Wilmore and fellow astronaut Sunita Williams launched on Boeing\u2019s Starliner spacecraft on June 5, 2023. However, NASA’s decision to delay their return\u2014initially scheduled for June 13, 2023\u2014due to technical difficulties turned what was meant to be a brief mission into months of uncertainty. Eventually, the pair splashed down off the coast of Florida much later than anticipated, at 5:57 p.m. ET on a Tuesday.<\/p>\n
