This week, President Donald Trump took aim at those attempting to thwart his agenda, accusing them of being \u201ctraitors\u201d who have committed \u201ctreason.\u201d<\/p>\n
During a dinner for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) on Tuesday, Trump asserted that the Democratic Party was \u201cterrified\u201d that the Trump administration\u2019s America First policies would succeed rather than \u201cfrightened\u201d that they would fail.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur adversaries are not scared that our America First policies will fail; rather, they are afraid that our strategy will work and that our party will grow stronger and better, and that is what is happening,\u201d Trump stated. \u201cI\u2019m actually looking forward to the midterms, and it\u2019s going to be something. We will demonstrate that their treacherous years of betrayal will never be forgotten because what they did was treason. To me, it was treason when they let millions of people from all over the world enter through open borders. It is inconceivable what they have done to our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump continued by criticizing the judicial system, mentioning that judges were debating whether to deport suspected Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members or allow them to return while the U.S. government was spending money \u201cto take people out.\u201d He expressed pride in being the President for the middle class and working people.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m proud to be the President for the workers, not the outsourcers; the President who defends America, not trade cheaters around the world; the President who stands up for Main Street, not Wall Street; and the President who protects the middle class, not the political class,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Trump further accused foreign entities of being \u201ctrade cheaters\u201d and claimed they had stolen American jobs and money. \u201cPeople are going around saying, \u2018Oh, we\u2019re not treating them right,\u2019 after they stole our money and our jobs. No, in fact, we\u2019re treating them quite well. They\u2019re fortunate that we treat them well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite facing indignation from Democrats, establishment Republicans, and mainstream media outlets over his ambitious trade changes, President Trump\u2019s approval rating has reportedly risen to nearly all-time highs. Following the imposition of sweeping tariffs on numerous trading partners on April 2, a new poll by J.L.
