On a typical Sunday morning, Ryan Finley woke up, stretched broadly, and playfully pinched his wife, Jill, to rouse her from sleep.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went to wake Jill up, which is a miracle in itself since I never do that on Saturday mornings,\u201d he later recounted.<\/p>\n

Ryan made it a routine to read passages aloud to his wife, hoping she would awaken soon.<\/p>\n
After 11 days, Ryan returned home to contemplate whether to wait for her recovery or heed the doctors\u2019 advice to remove life support. The doctors were certain there would be no improvement.<\/p>\n
He knew that once they took her off life support, she would likely pass away shortly. On the 14th day, he made the heartbreaking decision to let her go.<\/p>\n
About five hours after she was removed from life support, Jill began to mumble and move. Ryan, heartbroken, stepped out, believing she was suffering in her final moments.<\/p>\n

When asked what brought his wife back, Ryan responded without hesitation: \u201cGod. Divine intervention. I honestly feel that way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jill\u2019s recovery wasn\u2019t instantaneous. She had to relearn basic motor skills, like brushing her teeth and tying her shoelaces.<\/p>\n
