“A prime example of anything is possible,” read a social media reaction.
What did you miss?
Britain’s Got Talent viewers were truly inspired by Cornel Hrisca-Munn’s audition this weekend.
During Saturday, 29 March’s episode, which continued the Blackpool Winter Gardens leg of the show, husband and father Munn sailed into the next round of the competition after smashing out a number of drum solos in time with popular tracks, including Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams.
His limb disability made it all the more jaw-dropping, though.
What, how and why?
Before heading out infront of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon, the armless contestant revealed to presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly that he could wield drumsticks with the aid of straps.
When he eventually got to work on the drum kit, social media platform X completely erupted along with the Blackpool crowd on ITV1.
“A prime example of anything is possible regardless of your disability. Playing the drums is difficult but with no hands is Mind-blowing! Good for him what an audition. #BGT,” wrote one BGT fan.
A second user added: “I’m figuratively speechless watching this man playing drums without the use of hands.”
How did the BGT judges react?
Munn proved a sensation amongst the judges too, as Cowell told him: “Every year I’m blown away at not just the talented people but how amazing people are at the same time. My son has just taken up drums and he is gonna watch this over and over again, because that was inspiring.”
Dixon shared her appreciation for drummers, describing their instruments as the “epicentre” of any band.
Tonioli, meanwhile, deemed it a “first-class performance”.
