FBI Launches Task Force Targeting Anti-Tesla ‘Domestic Terrorism’

In response to a series of incidents targeting Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company, the FBI has announced the formation of a task force aimed at addressing “violent attacks on Tesla.”

For several months, there have been reports of violent acts and vandalism directed at Tesla vehicles and infrastructure, including charging stations and privately owned cars, as noted by CNN.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has faced protests at Tesla showrooms while also leading the Trump administration’s controversial efforts to streamline federal agencies and reduce the government workforce.

Over the weekend, the FBI issued a warning to the public to remain vigilant for any signs of potential attacks on Tesla dealerships or related entities, including individuals surveilling or attempting to access Tesla properties or making threats online.

In a post on X, FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Ben Williamson stated that the new task force will work alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to investigate these anti-Tesla incidents.

The Justice Department recently announced that it would take action against the increasing number of attacks on the automaker, including charges against individuals accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at Tesla properties.

“This is domestic terrorism. Those responsible will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice,” declared FBI Director Kash Patel.

Musk reiterated the seriousness of the situation on Monday via his X social media platform, stating, “There is no doubt that shooting bullets into Tesla stores and burning down Superchargers are acts of terrorism.” He also expressed his disbelief at the violent attacks, saying, “Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”

Last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning to far-left Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett after she made a series of threatening remarks about Musk and other Republican lawmakers. During an interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Bondi accused Crockett of “threatening lives” with her comments following the targeting of Tesla dealerships by left-wing activists.

“After she made her remarks about Elon, she claimed, ‘well, I didn’t mean violence,’ but your words have consequences. Following her comments, three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas. She needs to unequivocally denounce the violence,” Bondi stated.

“She must apologize immediately, not only to all Texans but to the American shareholders of Tesla, because she is promoting violence. Her rhetoric is dangerous, and it puts lives at risk. This is America; we are a free country, and she is encouraging violence,” Bondi added.

The attorney general continued her critique of Crockett’s statements, asserting that the far-left lawmaker is inciting “further insurrection” despite previous warnings to “tread very carefully.”

“It’s interesting that these individuals invoke the First Amendment while expressing animosity toward Elon Musk for exercising his rights. But again, words have consequences. She needs to be cautious. We don’t know what else she might be saying or doing,” Bondi emphasized.

She concluded, “She must immediately apologize and denounce this violence because, even in her home state, violent incidents have occurred following her statements. It’s dangerous, and she should recognize the implications of her words, especially as she calls for further insurrection on her birthday this weekend.”
